Another reason to target target for a boycott.

Well at least now we are getting a pretty good indication why Target boycotted the Salvation Army. Since Target thinks it can survive on the "Queer" quotient, lets see just how well they do.

I've been to Target exactly ONCE since they banned the kettles. That was to redeem a big bunch of soda cans for about $5 deposit.
On a related note, I've heard stores lose money on every can. So, I certainly wouldn't want to take them to Wal-Mart.

Why are companies so willing to bed over backwards to appease 1% to 3% of the population? If a gay rights organization even mentions a possible boycott, companies are scrambling to kiss their butts.
When Christian groups decided to boycott Disney, Disney yawned.
I would love to see all of the people that voted for Bush boycott Target, Disney, and any other group that has hopped on the gay agenda bandwagon. We have the ability to show these companies where the real power lies.

To win the election at any cost, political campaigns lied about Gay and Lesbian Families and they lied about what Equal Marriage really means. Because of those lies,What lies?
Last week, on another forum, this argument was made by a poster - almost word-for-word. When I asked him to list all of the "lies", he could not.
The truth is, there are no lies regarding queerdom, adoption and marriage. There simply is NO societal benefit to legitimizing that which is immoral and disgusting, and that's the truth. They must feel that if they keep yelling loud enough, that eventually we're all going to believe them.
lj - can you ping the list? I don't have it with me.

...purchase products from queer owned or queer friendly merchants. When you are in the market for a new home, car, insurance, etc, support people who support your family. If you need help at work or at home, hire queer people to do things.Hmm. I wonder how the author of this piece would react if I suggested everyone only purchase from straight-owned merchants... or only hire heterosexual people to help at work or home. How long before I was called hateful, bigoted, a homophobe?
You know what? Let 'em call me names. Boycott Target.

I nor my family will shop at Target. Just like we avoid all French and German products if we know what they are manufactured in those countries.

I just bought my son an awesome GI Joe F-22 fighter (with working bombs and missiles) and a set of Lincoln Logs at Target. Price was great and it was the only place that I have found the large set of Lincoln Logs.
I'm already boycotting Hollywood, which pretty much exhausts my ability to avoid stuff.

But I love the stuff at Target--and Wal-Mart has destroyed miles of small town Main Streets across the country. And, unlike K-Mart, their stores are clean and their merchandise lasts longer than any other discounters'.
This is such a moral dilemma--to shop or not to shop?

If you need help at work or at home, hire queer people to do things. The pipes may still leak, but they'll be the right color.

They actually said "we hope you will think queer". I find that bizarre. Been boycotting Target anyway; owned by the French.
