No point in worrying about it. I just live one day at a time anyway.

Hell, the core of the planet could vent enough gas one day to poison the atmosphere, the sun could go into a phase that destroys all life, or a black hole could swallow us up.

I had a fair day today, hope to had a better one tomorrow, but if it all ends tonight I will go gracefully. My only regret being that I did not learn how to be at peace with myself sooner.

I grew up fearing atomic bombs during the cold war. After that, nothing much bugs me anymore.

I think you hit upon something. I've gotten into online debates with people much younger than me, say around 20 or so and when they bring up worrying about things like "global warming" and so on, they are surprised I just shrug it off. I'm 38 and I grew up during the Cold War, well, the later part of it and I do remember the days when Red China was lighting up nukes and the clouds going around the Earth twice and the Strontium 90 scares from them. A lot of the "yung uns" go apecrazy about the War on Terror and although there are many differences between that and the Cold War, there are many similarities too and I think me growing up during the Cold War helps me keep my head.

Well, let me further point out the "yung uns" I talk about are left of center too, usually so I want to make sure I'm not stepping on any toes of young conservatives who do "get it."
