I am 45 and lived through Ronal Reagan, and am quite able to comment on a major failure of the United States in stopping Israel from destroying the PLO.
There would be over 1000 Israelis alive today that are now dead thanks to Arafat and the PLO and th Intifada.
If US Policy was to allow the Israelis to finish off the PLO, we would be in a different world.

Don't take me wrong in my postings for I, from what I take from your postings, agree with you, however so far the best damn achievements in the middle east, including the promotion of the security of Israel, have been promoted by George Bush with fervor, and have shown to be effective in the short term ans well as the long term.
Wiping out the Palestinians, would create a death toll far beyond what it is to date.
