My advice, which is worth what he paid for it: chill. Thicken the skin. Any truth of his arguments will--probably--win out.Not only that, but for someone with a limited readership, posting of their articles on FR can give them a springboard to a much wider readership.
It surely can. We have no way of knowing, but I suspect there are plenty of lurkers here who don't like debating on here, whether the debate is legitimate or not. They just like to read opinions. I suspect that the "losertarian" posts (I use this to represent the other tripe also), (1) reinforce prejudices that would never be changed anyway, like a politician playing to his base and (2) are filtered by thinking people and disregarded, just like radio static or statistical "noise". I think Wallace gives himself too little credit--he may influence a lot more people than he thinks and, as you say, most of the time bad publicity isn't bad. It establishes his name and ideas.
You know, someone posted the rankings of Web site hits above and I was astounded that Lew Rockwell was so high. I thought it was truly a minor site. That's an accomplishment in itself, despite being derided here.
