Ken Schram Commentary: I'm Ignoring The Rants
January 7, 2005
By Ken Schram
SEATTLE - People keep asking me: How could I have voted for Dino Rossi and yet be so willing to just roll over on the way Christine Gregoire is making her way to the Governor's mansion.
It's a fair question.
The answer: Because I'm a pragmatist.
I'm a pragmatist despite the rumors, innuendos and half-truths being spread by Republican big-wigs.
I guess they figure that if they repeat stupid things incessantly, they'll begin to sound smart.
~snip~
Republican chair Chris Vance - or as he's coming to be known, Chris Rants - has grossly exploited those voting problems, while the who-gives-a-damn-about-facts folks on conservative talk radio have built a mantra around it all.

He's asking for it!
Lemme see... Gregoire said something to the effect that law permits them to do (whatever) and that they'd be remiss to the voters if they didn't (follow though).... I heard John Carlson quote this earlier but don't remember it exactly. Anyone have the quote???
"Pragmatist" is not how I would describe someone willing to tolerate a county reporting four thousand more votes than they have registered voters.
I thought King County was supposed to provide an updated list today of the qualified, registered voters for the November 2 election? Did they release it and the numbers not jive? I sure am glad I live in Texas where we don't have those kinds of problems...:-)
I'll bet some of what you said is true, but I think you've given him way too much credit. I don't think he has thought far enough to come to the conclusions you do.
Schram doesn't do homework. He is not the kind to have ever had trouble with deadlines. He just rants.
Schram has an IQ of 40. Attempting to work around that fact, he issues outrageous comments with great bravado and bluster.
The man has a face that even crack ho's on Rainier don't want to know.
He has the qualities of a cult leader. They have been known to say some pretty stupid things like, "We are all going down to the Santa Monica Piers and wait for the mothership!"
The answer: Because I'm a pragmatist.

In other words, a gutless coward with no core belief system.
I bet the guy's a metrosexual, with blow-dried hair. ICK.
Instead of reconciling the 8500 extra votes by today as promised, CGore had a press conference where she literaly said that dead voting isn't illegal (tvw.org has the video for sale or a free audio), The Seattle Slimes had an article about how dead votes aren't always illegal, numerous Dim legislators have flat said it doesn't matter, it didn't happen, no one saw it happen, and we all got to get past it. Meanwhile, a great deal more fraud has been uncovered, including felons voting, double voters exposed, hundreds of provisional ballots co mingled with regular ones and many other broken laws at every single step.
Just yesterday, Paul Berendt & CGore tried to calm the waters by accusing military families of lying, making their uniformed sons and daughters lie, and us orchestrating the entire thing.
And then there's Ken. I hear he's a leg wetter.
LOL
Actually, he's a sort of unattractive, chubby thing with acne scars all over his face...and yet, the most unattractive thing about him is his liberal position on just about everything.
Most of the "old media" organs (big-city newspapers) were quick to jump into the "it's over, now let us heal and move forward" mode. They are now writing matter-of-factly about Gregoire's agenda, plans, and personnel selections, etc., while downplaying vote-fraud news and relegating Republican protests to incidental paragraphs in their daily "Governor-elect Gregoire" stories. All mention of Dino Rossi will lessen graduallly every day until it finally disappears altgether in the hope that Rossi and the tainted election will simply fade from the public's memory.
In the olden days, this strategy would have worked for the Democrats and their allies in the liberal newsrooms. No doubt about it. Nowadays, however, the most important question for Washingtonians is: How strong is talk radio in your state? Your talk radio outlets will mean all the difference in the world when it comes to next week's rally, to public opinion in general, and to the eventual explosion of the election theft scandal.
Of course, Washington may be hopelessly corrupt to the core and there's nothing anybody can do about it anyway.

And he's on TV?
Surprising. Everyone I see on TV is at least moderately good appearance.
I've shared my thoughts with him on too many occasions, because now I am blocked by his filter, apparently... ;0)
I must be doing something right.
I'd laugh, if that were actually a joke... but it's not ;0)
