Hillary Clinton's hometown paper fails to carry her finance director indictment story
Posted on 01/09/2005 6:35:30 PM PST by gimmebackmyconstitution
I anxiously awaited information about the indictment of my neighbor Hillary Clinton's Campaign finance director David Rosen. To my surprise, there was no mention of it in the local or national pages. I suggest to folks like me who want to hear the story, that they call or fax the Journal news here in Westchester County & ask them why they missed this huge story! Contact them at: Reader Services Editor The Journal News One Gannett Drive White Plains, NY 10604 Phone: (914) 694-3514 Fax: (914) 694-5018

Heck, the NYTimes didn't cover it! Isn't NYC Hillary's home town now? Yankees fan and everything?
Well, the Times reprinted the AP article. However, they didn't have any staff reporters cover it. The LA Times, Chicago Sun... even Newsday and NYPost had staff reporters on it!
But not the Times. This is the paper that prides itself on actually having reporters covering news of regional, national and international importance. And, these are the people who pride themselves for covering stories before they become nationally covered. Since this has been going on for over a year, the NYTimes of their propaganda should've had the scoop a long time ago!
And, Salon.com doesn't seem to have a story on it either.

Maybe all the reporters are at their sleepy lairs celebrating their "secular winter holiday" this weekend and did not respond quickly enough... OR, maybe they are part of the vast left wing conspiracy that the dems swear does not exist.

Hillary Clinton's hometown paper fails to carry her finance director indictment story The media have a code word for this. It's called "Getting It Right".
Getting it right implies fairness and accuracy, but what it really means is...
1. Suppressing stories that do not conform with the progressive agenda is "Getting is right". (Hillary is now one of the principal elements of the progressive agenda.) and,
2. Emphasizing stories that reinforce their favorite issues is "Getting is right". (Promoting political allies and attacking political enemies are among their favorite issues).
We here at FreeRepublic know all of this, of course. However, just listen for their code words, "Getting it right".

I'm shocked (not). This will be buried like the Chicom illegal money in '96. Last I heard on that situation, the FBI agent in charge of the investigaton was caught sleeping with a Chicom agent.
Nothing to see here folks, just move along.
Anyone heard anything about Sandy Berger getting caught red handed stuffing documents down his pants (and in his socks) regarding the Clintons failure to capture Bin Laden?
Nah, I didn't think so.

After noting the address, I just wondered is this a Gannett rag?

Is
this the paper's website? If so, it is indeed a Gannett rag. And I couldn't find the story
there, either.

As a former employee of said publication, I can assure you the omission is intentional. And yes, the Journal News is Gannett.
Even when I was there, from '94 to '97, it was ridiculously one-sided -- in fact, I was notoriously the "House Republican", the only person who would vocally disagree with our blatant bias.
Since I moved on (no, it didn't hurt my career -- I was promoted to headquarters in Virginia) the Journal News has just gotten worse and worse. Huge numbers who just want the high school sports or local classifieds have been forced to cancel their subscriptions out of sheer anger. And then the Journal News holds meetings and seminars on how to stem their declining circulation.
Watch for their annual tribute to the Rosenbergs every time the anniversary of their Sing Sing execution rolls around.

yes, that's the right one. Gannett suburban newspapers- the journal news. what a joke gannett is...
To: Jhensy
Yes, I Agree that the only reason I subscribe to journal news is to get whatever local news I can. They(Ganett has gobbled up all the local papers, and then they spoon feed us only what THEY think we should hear. A refreshing publication I have recently been reading is the New York Sun: http/www.nysun.com/
They appear to be fair & balanced in their reporting. We all know how far that philosophy has taken the Fox news channel, right?
