Somebody CBS biggie had been at the White House last week on bended knee. The apology will come soon.

I find it enough that this whole, sorry episode has become known as "Rathergate." I think this above all, is what is so galling to him.

A full apology that takes up just as many primtime minutes as the slander did. And not just to Bush, but to his family, naming each and every one of them and apologizing to them all.

Then he can retire in well-erned disgrace.
