He is right about a few things, there ARE some whacko's here, and there are some threads that are embarrasing. However, those posts and posters are a small minority here, but as you know, its there folks who will get the attention. Right now, there is probably more intellectual fire power on FR than there is on any website on earth. There are freepers with all sorts of backgrounds and specialties. Alot of signal in the noise here, alot.

The nut bags and hard cases who make guest appearances here are the exceptions and they are invariably told off and/or banned by the powers that be and other Freepers. That is my observation, at least.

Mr. Bostock has a typically (for a PhD. in a branch of study no one's ever heard of) inflated sense of his own importance and impact. If and when people of his ilk ever realize how grossly incorrect their assessment of the general intelligence level of conservatives actually is, well, let's not all hold our breath at once.

That's the problem. The Lefters and DU'rs will compile as long a list they can of these and hold them up to the world to show how "nuts" we are. They will do anything to find even the smallest trace of hypocracy or extremism and formulat propaganda around that incident. It's how they play politics, too. Any forum has a broad spectrum of posters and there will be extremes at either end in any given one. On the other hand, we could make a longer list of the juvenile whining on the DU, but my sock drawers neds organizing.

Funny, he says there's too many nutcases on FR, but he complains that JimRob deletes posts that are too nutty.
