It was my understanding that Capone really didn't pay taxes on his income. Unless and until we overturn the income tax, it remains a part of the highest law of our land. That's quite a bit different from saying that Capone cursed too much at home, so we're going to jail him. It's unfortunate that we've yet to come up with laws that deal properly with people like Capone. RICO works effectively, but it's so open to abuse that it too should probably have never been passed.
