No wonder it's 4 degrees right now in my area of MA, the frigid witch is in town.
The success in reducing youth violence in Boston, coupled with Rivers outspokenness, has made him quite the media darling in recent years, in part because he says things that White people would be zapped for saying publicly. He landed on the cover of Newsweek in June 1998 and was hailed as a "Savior of the Streets." Rivers said all the attention from the Newsweek "coronation" got him into a lot of hot water with fellow preachers especially those who were not mentioned in the article. Since then, the phone has been ringing steadily. Al Gore invited him to his annual "Family Reunion" in Tennessee. The Ford Foundation featured him on the cover of its magazine. Italian TV is doing a piece, as is Der Spiegel, a popular German newsmagazine.
When Clinton aides say "nothing is to be read into" something, it's time to read plenty into it. Where they're concerned, when they say it's sunny, carry an umbrella.
Rev. Rivers sees this as a moment for African-Americans to exploit with a new president who needs friends and who will turn his attention to people who reach out to him - that Bush will ignore people who are out in the street protesting.
He disagrees with Bush on a lot of key issues, but he feels that's irrelevant right now.
He says Bush will be the next president and that it's time for African-Americans to not be perceived as what he called "genetically Democratic." He says that has led them only down a blind ally.
If this entire week, he said, is a lot of protests and marching around, then the Bush administration is going to look the other way.
lol! Riiiight... the Red Queen demands that "nothing should be read into this". Uh, just like "nothing was really going on" in those secret health care committee meetings and how dare we ask.
That is a pretty open announcement of Mrs. Clinton's intention to run and availability to accept campaign funds.
Hillary speaks....Who gives a crap?
The stupid itch could not dance to any tune. With her thunder thighs it could set off another Tusunami.
