No doubt about it, Mueller is allied with the left.

"We are not talking about individual troops." New dem talking point. Have heard that one all day long.

Me too! The dude on Hannity and Colmes was waving that one.

Joe Wilson has been so thoroughly debunked that it's a mark of how biasd ABC is that he's allowed on. Koppel is not interested in becoming INFORMED--he does not have strong voices from all sides of the story. Look at the ones who are against the war--there are sound, logical reasons for being against it, but Koppel will take the radical, emotional spokespeople every time.

Thx for the info...... I'd never heard of any of these people.

It disgusts me the way people will do, or say anything to promote their agenda. Sad too.

You're a stronger person than me, I heard that lineup and couldn't bear to turn it on. I'm very sensitive to people calling criticism of the war anti-American--I think that's a ridiculous position to take. But dear god, looking at the facts and then listening to these boobs, what other conclusion can one come to? I think these people want the US to be taken down a peg so we are all on the same level, and will "know our place" and live in this UN-led wonderland of equality. It's a remarkably silly pose for adults to take.

It's typical of Niteline and ABC

This is the same news station that was openly looking for grieving families of loss soldiers for their show

Sick!

Check this out. I was trolling DUmmies and found a post about the nightline show. Someone blogged on Kos that he was there, and wrote about what went on during the commercials. Apprently he was the one screaming at the end, it was about depleted uranium. But if you read the whole thing, there were Iraqi's in the back that were promised to speak and they only allowed one and they were pissed!

Interesting on Kos's blog (Kos was paid as Howard Dean consultant). That Goofball thinks the anti-war side was railroaded. I heard the shouted Gulf War Syndrome protest at the end. Kopel dismissed it adroitly.

I have no problem with anyone being against the war as a sincere matter of principal. That is what makes our nation what it is. The left has only one reason to offer:

"Liar, liar pants on fire." Followed by sticking out their tongues.

But this is not a matter of being against the war. This is anti-Bush.

Of course, we all want our troops home.

As a child of the 60's, I can see the aging anti-Viet Nam hippies gasping for another chance of national prominence. They want to turn this into another Viet Nam. They are using the same rhetoric to turn this nation against our efforts, hoping against hope Bush suffers Nixon's fate.

Our defeat in Viet Nam (and the resulting death of so many, many South Vietnamese) is the sole responsibility of Congress because they refused to fund our efforts. Ted Kennedy was a part of that Congress. If I had the time or the inclination, I would do a search for his public statements back then and compare them with what he said yesterday. I bet I would find more similarities than differences.

"No one is calling for the immediate withdrawal of troops."
Oh yeah? Teddy the Lifeguard Flunkie was calling for just that today.

This is what we are in for in these next four years. The left is willing to sacrifice the good of the nation because of their hatred for President Bush.

Lessons learned? None. The defeat of daschle and his ilk has only strengthened their resolve to destroy the President.

BTW, George Allen did an excellent job.

Why is there no justice for the 58,000 + names on the Viet Nam Wall?

Why is there no justice for to the millions,
who served with honor in Viet Nam?

When will the Right Wing Main Stream Media demand
that Hanoi Kerry apologize to the names on the Wall
And to Viet Nam Vets who served with honor?
Why are we still "war criminals" and Hanoi Kerry is a "hero"?
When will the GOP controlled Senate set the record straight?

US GOP controlled Senate

AND

Main Stream Right Wing Media

Hang your heads in shame!

When you wake up in the morning,
and look in the mirror,
before you go to the US Senate,
or to the TV or Radio studios,
know that you did nothing to remove this traitor.

Well REAL Americans know what you did NOT do!

U.S. Constitution Amendment XIV

Section 3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress,
or elector of President and Vice President,
or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States,
or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress,
or as an officer of the United States,
or as a member of any state legislature,
or as an executive or judicial officer of any state,
to support the Constitution of the United States,
shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same,
or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.
But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

See thread:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1330055/posts

There have been numerous threads regarding the night teddy chose to save his political career instead of the life of a drowning woman.

I jokingly made an offer just to hear one person on FOX News remind the country of MaryJo when the rest of the world was hailing him as the grand leader of the dems.

Bill Bennett came through that very evening on H&C.(as much as I like to think it was because he read my plea, I doubt it seriously Ha-ha!)

[Paraphrased] He reminded viewers to remember the events of one summer night in Massachusetts. He then made the dramatic (IMHO) point kennedy was demanding from President Bush much more than what kennedy was willing to do that night.

There was a nanosecond silence, but the point was made. Even Alan ("Nanny nanny boo boo, GOP does it too") Colmes did not dare bring up the obligatory "unfairness" or "cheap shot" rhetoric to soften the point.

I find it hard to believe the total lack of character on this issue. Facts are facts. Kennedy allowed a woman to die. Period. Those are the times which define someone's character. The night of his defining moment, he chose to save his political ass. As a result, any chance Mary Jo had of surviving was lost forever. Anyone who attaches validity to kennedy's words are complicit in what happened that evening.

He disgusts me.
