This guy is a typical liberal wimp. More from the NY Times:

"When I did that, he hit me with the gun, using both hands. He got a really good, hard hit into the left side of my face, my eye," Mr. Sparks said, his face bearing the cuts from the attack yesterday.

"Nicole was asking me if I was all right," he said. The other robber stepped forward and apologized, Mr. Sparks said. "He's like, 'Whoa, whoa, whoa, it doesn't have to be like this, we just need some money.' I said, 'Come on, let's just go,' and started to walk down the sidewalk. I thought Nicole was behind me, but she wasn't.

Mr. Sparks was farther up the block when Ms. duFresne confronted the attackers. The police said she asked the men something to the effect of, "What are you going to do, shoot us next?"

"I don't know if she was going off on the guy or what," Mr. Sparks said. "I heard one shot. Nicole was lying on the street on her back."

"It hit her about two inches away from the heart. I think it pretty much knocked her out instantly. Her eyes were open. She knew when I was there. She could hear me. I could feel her trying, but she gave me this look that let me know that she just couldn't."

"She just loved people, and she was protecting Jeffrey," Ms. duFresne's father said.

"She just loved people, and she was protecting Jeffrey," Ms. duFresne's father said." Pardon me for being an old-fashioned male chauvinist, sexist pig, but isn't it a man's place to protect a woman? You wonder why the father isn't outraged at the death of chivalry. He should have had a few choice words for his son-in-law's cowardice instead of bending over backwards to praise his daughter for making it easy for her fiance not to step up to the plate. Just like Monica Lewinsky's Dad being understanding of Bill Clinton. Whatever happened to fathers' standing up for their little girl? This comment takes the cake for sheer chutzpah.

Denny Crane: "I want two things. First God and then Fox News."

The pansy kept walking away leaving his girlfriend behind to deal with these bastards.

Two observations:

1 - He should be plagued by memories of his cowardice for the rest of his days.

2 - Perhaps, just perhaps, the girl should not have continued to challenge a POS with a gun.

What a man. BTW, anybody, what does any of this have to do with Churchill?

He walked off and left her there.
