I would guess it is extremely unlikely they were raised in a Christian home. It is fairly likely that someone in their family would claim to be Christian.

How many black atheist homes do you know of? It's highly likely that his family is Christian. The black Christians at my church are incredible for their enthusiasm and outright joy towards the Lord.
What alarms them, however, is the increasing number of African-American men who have turned to radical Islam.
