Those who call this a "production" by the Prez, or a sham election, etc. are the ones doing the acting. They know better, but are putting on a partisan show. I give it 2 thumbs down and one blue index finger in the eye.

I'm not so sure ol' Danny boy even wrote this. I can't POSSIBLY see him saying this:
:The momentum shifted in favor of the U.S. military and Iraqi forces a few months ago, and has accelerated in their direction with the election.:
Did he note the stated "momentum shift" when it happened?

I always find it bemusing when folks like Rather have a quick bought of sanity.

The much maligned, newly trained Iraqi security forces put in charge of basic polling place protection performed far beyond general expectations.Whose expectations, Dan? The MSM routinely underestimates the intelligence and determination of the general public here and in Iraq. That's the general expectation of liberalism: The people are so weak and stupid they need us to tell them how to think and what to do.

Whoa. Another blow for the loony-left who saw Mr. Blather as their last, best hope for the MSM. (All the others are paid agents of K. Rove, dontcha know?)

Phew, for a minute I thought Rather lost it. He is merely absorbing the truth and setting the stage for the next criticism of Bush
Even with the good news of Sundays election, nobody said the way ahead will be easy. And nobody is right.

A quick reminder to the liberals.
Remember, this election was done NOT IN YOUR NAME.

Maybe this is Dan's deathbed attempt at confession and contrition.

An interesting comment.
Rather himself, of course, is a low point for the U.S.

Today in an effort to pull his reputation and legacy off the ash heap of journalist history Dan Rather moved to the Right. A week of saying nice things about our troops and finding no major news to appeal to his normal base Dan's efforts as they say are too little and too late.

Success has a million fathers, while failure is an orphan.
Rather must be suffering internal gut spasms considering the fact that he has been forced to report that President Bush was right all along and the Iraqi's ARE clamboring for freedom and democracy.

"But any exit strategy...problems...high risk... failure...concern...danger...problems...United States has failed..." Excerpted from the last few paragraphs of Blather's Bloviating. Go away, Dan. You are irrelevant.

They read and watch their own programs.
