A must have for any rock and roll collection.
Aside from the Beatles, and maybe the Stones, the best of the Brit bands.
Nah. I place the Who above them! :)
Definitely a hot looking 60-year old, though I wouldn't mind if he were a bit taller.
But what a voice!
Interesting, thanks for the clarification.
My pleasure. And I can't tell you how relieved I am that they never felt the need to speak out about the war.
Although back in late 2001, on Pete's site, he wrote a scathing critique of one of the left-wing UK papers. Apparently, one of them wrote an editorial criticizing our bombing in Afghanistan as being heavy-handed. He wrote in his online "diary" for fans that of course there was nothing heavy-handed about the "elegant" planes going into the skyscrapers, and bitching at the kneejerk anti-war leftists.
He's taller than we are!
I love The Who, but I think the Beatles are the ones who but Brit bands on the map, and I still think they're best. It can be argued that they're equal or better than the Rolling Stones, but the Beatles are nearly equivalent to Elvis in my mind. They just had something that nobody since has matched.
Ever see "Steal This Movie"? Vincent D'Onofrio hams his way through Abbie Hoffman's life, with the love of his life played by Janine Garafolo (yikes).
The Beatles were, of course, first. But I still don't think they were the best. :)
Yeah, I know, and he's one talented dude to boot! Time to update my CD collection (I have the one you gave me plus some 45s, but my turntable has just about breathed its last).
Like I said, I love the Who, and would say they are one of the best bands ever, but I don't think they can match the range of the Beatles. The Who has always had a hard edge to its music, while the Beatles used various tones in their songs. Not a knock, but I think the Beatles were a better band until Yoko "Gollum" Ono infested their presence, leading to the breakup.

But I'm still convinced he's taller than me!
Who isn't?!
Wow! I've never seen it. Of course I live in Canada and the selection isn't what you get.
Guess I'll be heading over to Amazon!
Thanks
Cheers
Jim
Er - you?
Hope I die before . . .never mind.
Wow, that's really saying something.
Definitely! Then again, I had to go to Amazon UK the other day to get his brand new CD.
