The German post office has displayed its adherence to the rulebook by delivering a card addressed "Adolf Hitler, Reichstag" to the current seat of government in Berlin. The postcard - sent from Britain and addressed to "Führer Adolf Hitler, Reichstag, German Parliament, Berlin" - was forwarded to the Bundestag this week. The post office had efficiently stamped it with the remark: "mail corrected due to wrong address, please alert the sender".

The punchline "The postcard concluded with a copy of an encyclopaedia entry on the "Legend of the Welsh Lovespoon".

I actually bought one of those things once, as a wedding present. From Signals Catalouge (or somesuch). It took SOOOOOOOO long to arrive, I ended up giving another gift instead. It was very nice, when I finally did get (and give) it. But I think the Welsh lovespoon makers need to work on their efficiency issues.

Maybe also this postcard sender?

But thank goodness the German mail still gets through!

At least they didn't send it to Bush.

Maybe the German Post Office could hire some guy to answer letters to Hitler like they do for Santa Claus.
