Dean To Be DNC Chairman
The final day of the DNC Winter Meeting takes place Saturday, first with remarks by outgoing chairman Terry McAuliffe, followed by the vote for the new chairman, expected to be former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean. Afterwards, McAuliffe formally transfers the chairman's gavel to Dean.

McAuliffe formally transfers the chairman's gavel to Dean.I'll be sad to see good ol' Terry go since he's been so good for the GOP, however my ultra liberal neighbors are aghast that Howie is taking over their party so perhaps there is more fun still to come :-)

Eleanor Holmes Norton is simply awful. Take a look at the crime rate and the school record in her "district." She's on to her usual complaint that DC reps can't actually vote. Apparantly they are having the same difficulty they had last night keeping the natives quiet.
