Dio - you directed my attention to the "long term aims" of the work in question and asked me to consider demographics.

If you weren't introducing the spurious "they breed like rabbits" argument as a way to get around the realities of demographics and religion in Bosnia, then I have no idea what your intent was.

So why don't you clarify the intent of your post # 29 for me then, m'kay?

Sure: In Islam, once Muslims became an absolute majority in a country, it is their Islamic duty to make the state an Islamic one.

That means dhimmitude for Christians.

Anyone with a decent knowledge of history knows what that is like.

Ergo, it´s best to partition the country so that the Muslims can only rule themselves.

Garbage.

Albania is a "muslim majority", yet they seem about as concerned with Sharia as you are with choosing a defensible position.

Bosnia is not, nor has it ever been a hotspot of Islamic fervor - even before Islam showed up, it couldn't even be bothered to stay on the non-heretical side of religious thought and practice. Sure, you can point to small communities in Bosnia which have gone nuts, but they're few and far between, and can't be honestly used to portray Bosnia's religious temperature.

But then you're not concerned with honesty anymore, are you Dio?

I'll remind you that when Tudjman and Milosevic decided to partition Bosnia amongst themselves, they determined that the "Muslim" portion of Bosnia was going to be in the Neretva river.

Just a couple of idiots who's ideas, as demonstrated by your posts, haven't quite died out yet, and which, when coupled with a "decent knowledge of history" of the last time they were placed into practice, place my comment about killing 'em all right back where it belongs: in your face.

Whatever - one thing Bosnia's muslims have going for them these days is the utter inability of the region's Christians to act Christian towards each other, never mind anybody else.

i will not argue with you on the muslim fanaticism being a dimunitive minority, as your boyfriend destro chooses to squeal all over as being in great abundance.

what you fail to ignore is the main focal point of Albanian opposition to Serbian rule. It had nothing, nothing to do with ethnic suppression. The sole determining factor was it being that Albanians were revolting against the anti-drug/crime laws of FRY that the Yugoslavian Ministry of Interior was enforcing,i.e cracking down on.

Differance between our (US Border Patrol) and then-Yugoslavian now Serbian Ministry of Interior was the viciousness of the criminal attacks against Law Enforcement and Military patrols. To crack down, one needs to come down with a heavy hand to show your determination, etc...

the albanian majority, yes majority are concerned only with criminal activity, unfortunately. ppl should go there like i did and see it first-hand. Vranje to presevo is extremely unsettled and brewing powder keg...

when you have a fervor of islamic venomous talk and actions, one tends to preserve ones communities safety and well-being. That is where you find armed-defense and bunch of crazies running around shooting up and burning down houses...Lepa Selo, Lepa Gora!

You still do not undertand the true happenings of BiH and Kosovo and soon to be Metohija/Sandjak.

You and Destro are the same, but at a spectrum of theories. A nut is still a nut is a nut, ergo.

Albanians are not Bosnian Muslims...the two are very different. Albanians make for very poor Muslims, as well as Christians....do not compare the two.

Bosnia was long a hotbead of Islamic fervor, particularly during the Ottoman times as attested by the various conservative revolts by the Bosnian begs against any modernism coming out of Istanbul.

Bosnia is a fictional state, held together by international force...do not think that a Bosnian state can stand on its own, ever. That is naive thinking.

Hoplite is either a Bosnian Muslim who, like the rest of them, has no other option but to strive for imaginary Bosnia that will never work, and hence lives in denial, or one of those "superior beings" who thinks America can solve all the world's problems by making all the people fat and stupid with McDonald's, so they won't know or care who they are.

Dio, AQ presence is very limited to certain sectors and SFOR knows where they are. Serbs supply SFOR with high quality information on muslim radicalism in BiH, thereby limiting the importation of it.

Right now, if you ask SFOR about the 3 sides, the worst are the muslims. The Croatians are heavily into the black market/mafia and gearing up for a new war. SFOR feels the Serbs are the most reliable partner right now in BiH. I don't know what role Croats of BiH have in dealing with the radikal islam but it is not that widespread. You have alot of talkes but no players to act on that talk. Alot of bravado/chest pounding only.

Your info isn´t that good........if EUFOR thinks the Serbs are the best partners, why do they want to take down RS? And partners for what?

Give it a rest, Dio, you're arguing in the face of a decade of American experience in Bosnia - it's most decidedly not a hotbed of Islamic fervor, nor is it held together by the 7,000 foreign troops there. It's held together by the pressure we've placed on Zagreb and Belgrade to stop trying to tear it apart, backed up by threats of economic isolation if they get stupid again.

Perhaps you should read Kohlmann's "Al-Qaeda's Jihad In Europe" so you too can attempt to put your spin on it like our Serbian friends.

I'm pretty sure that no amount of Big Macs is going to cure what ails you, Kosta.

You're just on the wrong side of the historical trend, and it's making you fractious. Think: Hessians, Burgundians, and Genovese. Give it some more time and then we can add Serbs and their neighbors to the list and there you have it.

Hoplite: You very well know that Bosnia would fall apart if the Serbs and Croats were given the choice of seceding from the false state. Don´t play ignorant.

And you know the impossibility of peacefully partitioning Bosnia in a manner that's equitable to all the nutjobs - the last time that was tried, under the Cutiliero EC negotiations in 1992, your cousins looked at what they got and saw that 59% of the Croat population was to be minorities in someone else's territory, and decided to settle the matter through force of arms.

But if you're willing to try the secession approach again, we can always attempt a trial run somewhere else - we can use parts of Croatia as I hear there's some experience of this there recently.

Waddaya say, sport?

Croatia is not Bosnia. The majority of Croatia´s citizens have no interest in secession...the majority of Bosnia´s citizens would vote to dissolve Bosnia.

hey, dio, looks like hoplite is now claiming that the Croatians began the war, in his own words.

muslims would have no problem in living within a Serbian nor a Croatian government. hence, we can look at Serbia. Plenty of muslims living within belgrade, uzice, Nis, etc.. no problems.

I don't understand the point hoplite is trying to assert here, do you? It seems he is on medication or the equivelant.

Do muslims have any problems within Croatia proper or Croatian-dominant BiH enclaves? Seems to me, problems arise when muslims try to force their "culture" where it never existed nor has not claim to.

I said SFOR and that was about a year ago. Everything has changed since the US drawdown, besides, unable to say how. Draw your own conclusions, you are clever.
