Reminds me of when the Soviets and the ChiComs installed their own Christian leaders after they took power.

Yep. Hopefully we can unmask this mole and get the Demwits off the morals issue before they hurt themselves.

If he is the same guy that was on with Hannity yesterday, Rev Fallwell asked him what church he belonged to. He hemmed and hawed then finally blurted something out. The Reverend then said he would check the information out to see if this gentlemen was in charge of the church or whatever. So, time will tell, assuming he is the same guy that was on yesterday......

Ask him if Jesus is the only path to Salvation. He'll squirm like a maggot in a ham hock.
That IS the test, isn't it.

Now there's a term I don't see thrown around much. (except maybe by Garrison Keillor)

Oh how they squirm when the bright light of media attention begins to shine. I think half these bozos are so accustomed to getting away with their lies they are completely shocked when we actually begin to delve into their past. Let's start digging.

Falwell and Hannity cleaned Wallis' clock on the radio program several times yesterday. Same old thing..he would not give any straight answers and kept trying to overtalk Falwell and Hannity.

"Plymouth Brethren"
I'm not familiar with that particular church, but it sounds like it's from the Pietist or ana-baptist tradition, which has always tended towards pacifism and - in modern times - far-left politics. The American Friends Service Committee, for example, is about as far left as you can get; it's a church Ramsey Clark would feel quite comfortable with, i.e., America is ALWAYS wrong, (left-wing) dictators are ALWAYS right.
To: Juan Medén
Try Sojourners. It's not a church - it's an organization.

Wallis actually is a prototype of where mainstream Protestant Churches are slowly becoming. They practice ommission (i.e do not preach unpopular modern subject such as sodomy, divorce is adultery, traditional role of women in families, women cannot be ministers). Their silence allows positions to develop in church doctrine that is not in accordance to scripture (i.e Bible).

Christians vote not based on labels or image. They vote for candidates who have same principles as they do. The Dems can have a long line of 'evangelical leaders' but if none of them confess the principles the voters agree, they might as well line the liberal hollywood movie stars.
Many people in the borderline 'moderates' don't care about social issues anyway, so lining up 'church leaders' won't do anything for them.

I wonder if Wallis realizes his compromises on abortion, gay marriage, etc., totally undermine his witness on war-and-peace issues. People like him are always looking over their shoulders for approval from the secular media and from the far-left of the political spectrum. They think they are prophetic, but prophets don't look over their shoulders.

He's also hawking a new book. I saw it all over the front table when entering Barnes and Noble the other day.

Ask him if Jesus is the only path to Salvation. He'll squirm like a maggot in a ham hock. You nailed it! That, truly, is the question. A corollary would be, "How many have you led into the Born Again experience this past year?" That, too, is a sine qua non for being an evangelical -- especially a minister.

before that one is thrown around too long, certain political leaders have stated otherwise.
