Madonna To Play Transvestite Candy Darling

Madonna is said to play transvestite Candy Darling in Untitled: Maddona Candy Darling Project, according to The Sun.

Darling starred in a series of Andy Warhol's experimental films in the 1960s. She was the inspiration behind the Velvet Underground classic Candy Says and Lou Reed's solo hit Walk On The Wild Side.

A source told the paper: "Madonna has been desperate to make a film where she can earn respect for her acting abilities.

"She is still trying to shake off the bad publicity from the movie Swept Away. She sees this as her big chance.

"She said she would do anything for the part and has agreed to work for free."

Sounds like a killer movie, hopefully it kills her acting career for good.

From your lips to God's ear. Her being made to shut up in some manner is a good thing.

Madonna needs to drop the long, golden curls. She isn't 12 years old.

I am proud to say I have NEVER seen her in any movie, nor do I plan to do so.

Swept Away was her big chance to shake off the bad publicity from The Next Best Thing. Which was trying to shake off the bad publicity from Evita. Which was trying to shake off the bad publicity from Body Of Evidence. Which was trying to shake off the bad publicity from Dick Tracy. Which was trying to shake off the bad publicity from Who's That Girl. Which was trying to shake off the bad publicity from Shanghai Surprise, which Sean Penn only shook off a few years ago with his first Best Actor Oscar nomination for I Am Sam.

I sat through "Evita". Once. I kept on thinking of Hillary Clinton.

Not exactly a cinematic experience I care to repeat.

It's amazing thr fall from grace this woman has put on herself because of her perverted mind and friends. I used to like her at one time in my life. And she has the nerve to write childrens books. There is a special place in hell for people like her.

[She said she would do anything for the part and has agreed to work for free.]

This attitude in itself is bad for any career.

How long will American society be compelled to apologize to the world, to the very universe for producing the likes of Madonna?!?

I think it's already DOA. I have two daughters in the teens, they both say, "Madonna? who's that?".

Sheena Easton had a way better voice but got into contract troubles and could have overtaken Madonna easily.

Madonna was great in "Desperately Seeking Susan" but she was just basicly playing herself. Since then it has been one disaster after another. No one takes her seriously as an actress, and at 40 it is getting harder and harder to even try and watch her.
Yes, it is ironic that the "Material Girl" now lectures the rest of us on materialism and writes childrens books about being accepted for what you are when her whole career has been a long series of running from what she is... "Ester" my ass!

Walk On The Wild Side

Does that mean we can say "colored girl" again without feeling guilty about it?
