One of the most valuable sites in Pennsylvania has nothing to do with real estate:
The Pennsylvania Lottery could earn as much as $585,000 a year by renting a few square inches on its Web site, some advertising experts estimate. And that's just one ad. The state has hundreds of Web pages.
Allegheny County could earn as much as $130,000 a year, and Pittsburgh could pull in up to $95,000 annually, by selling Internet advertisements, according to those same estimates.
"I'm definitely open-minded to it," county Chief Executive Dan Onorato said. "If there is any way to generate money that would minimize the burden on taxpayers, I think we should consider it."
