Published: February 19, 2005

LBANY, Feb. 18 - Gov. George E. Pataki and his wife, Libby, are taking their third vacation since the November elections, spending an extended holiday weekend in the Dominican Republic, aides to the governor said on Friday.

The governor left Thursday night, they said, and plans to be back in New York City on Tuesday morning. Over the Christmas holidays, the Patakis and their children spent more than a week traveling through central Europe, including Hungary, the home of Mr. Pataki's ancestors. And in November they took a brief trip to Puerto Rico.

Well folks, it seems that the New York Times is reporting that Governor Pataki was not entitled to take a long weekend off with his family this past President's day. Quoted in the article (propoganda piece), Howard Wolfson, a spokesman for the New York State Democratic party has nothing better to talk about, things that are really important to New Yorkers- like the disfunctional NYS Assembly & Senate, or the recent absurd New York State Supreme court ruling which will stick New York State taxpayers with a 14.8 billion dollar tax increase to "fix" NYC schools. If that verdict is not overturned, Nobody who lives outside of New York city will be able to afford a vacation! NYT still doesn't get it....

We can barely afford to live here anymore. We used to be proud to say we live in Buffalo......not anymore, it's an embarassment.
