"So if the Labour Party over there doesn't win, will we continue to see support in the War on Terror from its most visible leader?"

The USA would get more support from the Tories than from the Labour Party (particularly without Blair - who will likely be gotten rid of by the left wing of his party at the earliest opportunity)

I would love for the Toris to win, but as long as Howard is their lead man I have to pull for Blair. The Tories have been shameful on Iraq.

I have no reason to believe that claim. The Tories have been behaving in the manner of our Democrat Party. If they win an election on that platform they'll feel no need to reverse course about the war.

Just as Zapatero feels no need to reverse course. Just as Ukraine feels no need to reverse course.

I have no love for the current parties of Labor or Tory, but I do hope Blair wins.

I am deeply thankful to the British soldiers who risk derisions in their own country to help us, help the people in Iraq, and to do what is right. That said, we should know about a few attitudes that are tossed around to and by most civilians in Europe.

"A former cabinet minister in the British Conservative Party, which is officially even more pro-American than Bush's First Friend Tony Blair, recently leaned over at lunch and described Bush as 'terrifying,' 'ignorant,' 'a prisoner of the religious right who believes God tells him what to do,' and 'like a child running around with a grenade with the pin pulled out'" ("Mad At America," Time Europe, http://www.time.com/time/europe/magazine/printout/0,13155,901030120-407287,00.html

We'll continue to educate our own as to what's being said behind our backs in many parts of the world by people who come from only a few countries. It's up to Europeans to correct misinformation disseminated with illogical arguments (simple caricatures, for one) in their own countries.

Tories are too busy continuing their Public School buggery to come up with a decent campaign.
