You are right. I discovered that smiling at someone angry towards me makes them more angry *lol*
One thing I have noted with women and tell me if you think this happens in your world. They bond by bitching and none can tolerate a woman or girl who doesn't bitch. It is as if they are all reassuring each other "you got nothing to worry about, I am worse off than you". This killer seemed to have taken it to the extreme.
