He insisted he was one-sixteenth Cherokee... Hell, I'm one-sixteenth Cherokee. Probably millions of Americans are one-sixteenth Cherokee. I don't think this entitles me or anyone to claim to be American Indian.
In California it does. you can claim any combination of 32 minorities with no % necessary, just check the box.... except white or European
