Norville to Anchor From 'Home Confinement' [Martha Stewart]
AP/Yahoo ^ | 3/5/2005

NEW YORK - Now HERE'S a good excuse for working at home. Deborah Norville will anchor Monday's program of "Inside Edition" from her home on Long Island, N.Y., to try to give viewers a taste of what Martha Stewart's home confinement is like.

Norville will be fitted with the same type of ankle bracelet that is being used to monitor Stewart's location now that she has been released from prison.

Over a 24-hour period, Norville will keep a record of everything she does and report on what the experience is like, the show said.

"Inside Edition," a syndicated newsmagazine, airs weeknights.

pssst, have you heard Martha was released on Friday? And she's in home confinement?? On a 153-acre "estate" with horses and a garden?! and she can leave for 48 hours/wk!? and she has to check in with her parole officer?!!

All fascinating things the media has gone over and over, but maybe you missed this breaking news.

Deborah Norville...to try to give viewers a taste of what Martha Stewart's home confinement is like.

Why would anybody give a rat's ass as to what Martha Stewarts home confinement is like?

They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Zero ideas. Zero content. No news, no anything of value. Just one big massive waste of time. As if I needed anything to remind me why I haven't watched ABCNNBCBS in 15 years.

This is what I'm saying. Although, I wonder whether it'll talk about how terrible it is, or how much better it is than prison, or how much better Martha's house is than yours.

Looks like Martha's going to take all this goodwill she'd generated and burn through it with poorly-planned overexposure.

I hope Freepers will do an exciting live report on this marathon event, complete with pictures, because I'm not planning to watch.

Thank you. I couldn't have said it better.
This is so sickening....what is with the media?
On top of all this, the story is boring.

Between Martha and Michael Jackson I've abandoned the cable outlets. I realize these are important news events....but I'd rather see extensive coverage on what is occuring in Lebanon. I do realize that what is occuring in the M.E. is of minimal importance compared to what famous celeb will testify at M.J.'s trial and what is Martha's first new design for a doiley after being released. I shamefully acknowledge my priorities are out of step.

My Order's attempts at converting her in prison, failed.

What's their reason for defending her? She's just a media type who someone had a grudge against?

I defend her, too. She wouldn't have gone to prison if she'd have just shut up, like her rights dictate she (and everyone) should. Her charge was lying to investigators. But we've all been round & round this issue.

The goodly and honorable Ms. Norville has the floor now, and I for one am throwing popcorn at the screen.

Gotta admit that Leno's tactic (having someone else read his MJ jokes so as not to go against his gag order) was pretty clever. See, I have MY priorities straight. :)
