Excellent Article! Mil Bloggers vs. MSM Army Times
To: AliVeritas
I USED to subscribe-I got the Marine Corps version-but got fed up with the blatant editorializing.
I did have to smile when they ran a poll prior to the election, and discovered-to their great chagrin-over 70% of their readers supported the administration.

I stopped reading the Army Times 15 years. Unfortunately, many (if not most) service men and women view the AT as if it were a publication with their best interests at heart. The sad truth is just the opposite...it's an overpriced rag whose only mission is to regurgitate old, often very old, MSM biased BS amateurishly disguised as journalism for and about soldiers. During its best days it was the source for pay tables, promotion lists, cut off scores, etc, but not any longer as these are all available much quicker over the internet.
With the advent of the internet and evolution of the blogosphere there are many more avenues available for soldiers to get timely and accurate military related news and opinion. I trust that growing numbers of them are availing themselves of these and cancelling their AT subscriptions.
