I never got the fascination with Che. He was pretty much a backwoods Stalinist.
In the 60's, college hippie dorks idolized him and I'm thinking "this Cuban commie guerilla would blast your head off with his pistol point blank if anyone of these lily white rich kids ever met him."

Leave it to liberals to flaunt their compassion while wearing t-shirts sporting mass murderers.
They're mentally ill.

The only successful "communist" societies that have EVER existed were the monastaries and convents. And if you'll notice, there aren't a whole lot of them and they are usually VERY small.

("They tell me he was an assassin and I tell them that was his problem and I don't care," he says. "I tell them this is a store, not a political party or a government, and that I sell whatever people want to buy."
He even told The Record that if his clients were interested in Osama bin Laden shirts, he would sell them, too.)
Reminds me of those who sell gangsta rap, sell drugs...

Hey, its a free country and its capitalism. That leaves us to be good citizens and spit on people wearing those things.(ha) Yeah, some of this stuff is sickening.

Che missed his calling as an actor/entertainer. This goes double for John Kerry. But Che really had the good looks to have been a movie star (like a cross between George Clooney and Brad Pitt and possibly with the same amount of intelligence).
I recall several great documentaries solely made to debunk Mike Moore movies. We need a factual documentary to debunk the Che-hero-myth and expose him for what he really was--an incompetent warrior, playboy, thief, mass murderer, and so ineffective to Communism that Castro himself left him to rot.

I have a yellow shirt that has a blotchy Rorschach-type sketch of Adam Ant on it (from Adam and the Ants). When I showed up in it one Saturday morning last season, the Rennies gave me huge props for wearing a Che shirt, and told me they didn't know I was that cool.
I told them I wasn't cool enough to wear a murderer's shirt - I was only sufficiently cool for a pop star's.
They didn't like my shirt after that.
(I still contend that if they'd examined my actual shirt instead of what it was wrapping, they'd have seen it wasn't Che, especially considering it says "Adam Ant" underneath the head.)

The problem is that damn movie the motorcycle diaries. Everyone at my work loves to romanticize about the guy after that movie.

The problem is that damn movie the motorcycle diaries. Everyone at my work loves to romanticize about the guy after that movie. IIRC There is a new movie in the works that will be giving a very favorable portrayal of Hitler's early years. The irony is that the left won't go around romanticizing Hitler the way they have Gueverra, Castro and others, because the left is operating under the absurd delusion that Nazism was a right-wing conservative movement.
