"There is something wrong with a society in which people wear shirts with the image of someone who preached hatred and enjoyed killing," Armando Alvarez, a Cuban exile who now resides in West New York, told the paper.

As far as the left is concerned, as long as he didn't put panties on anybody's head, there's no problem.

To the Left, a mass murderer is no big deal. Even better if he was a Communist thug.

They don't have any problem with killing people, either, provided that they are innocent, law-abiding civilians who might disagree with them politically.

This lie of the idealistic revolutionary is more than forty years old. There is a group of aging former left-wingers in this country who will keep expounding the same fantasies they believed in the 60's until they draw their last breath. It's long past time reality caught up with these old fakers.

I bought a "commies aren't cool" t-shirt which has the standard socialist realism face of 'Che' with a circle and a slash through it. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be holding up very well in the wash.

It's ridiculous enough when naive college kids wear this leftist crap. They aren't into doing due dilligence on history. But its the ones like Churchill and the ones over 25 that I can't figure out. I guess they get off on all the adulation of the young chickies and moron 20something wannabee revolutionary guys.

I remember when the college students all were wearing those Trotsky glasses and protesting. How ridiculous. didn't they know that Stalin had had Trotsky killed? I think they are on a pseudo Hemmingway trip about "revolution".

Che, Castro, Stalin, Chavez. The Left loves all the murderers as long as they promise the masses a chicken in every pot.

Once again, I'll weigh in on "Comrade Che`".

He was nothing less than the coldblooded murdering thug as described by those who were there.

He craved status as a 20th century Simon Bolivar, uniting all of Latin America in a "Socialist Worker's Paradise", (with him and his cronies in charge, of course), and tried to export Cuban style revolution throughout South and Central America.

Sadly, some of the malignant seeds sown by him and his cronies led to problems in Nicaragua and El Salvador in the 70's and 80's, and to a degree are continuing in Chiapas and Guatemala to this day, and have resulted in the deaths of thousands of people on both sides.

What he got for all of his efforts was turned in by the very Bolivian Camposinos he pretended to fight for.

When he was wounded and captured, he begged Carlos Rodriguez (CIA) for his life, pleading that he was worth more "alive than dead". The rumors that he died a "hero's death" are a joke.

He was as wrong about that as he was in everything else in his life, because his image has far outlived any utility he would have served in life. I have personally met and spoken to a retired Green Beret who was there, and has the photos to prove it. Guevara died just as he lived, as a coward.

It is somewhat pleasantly ironic that modern-day capitalists are making money selling his image to psuedointellictuals and other political "in-sophisticates" in trendy Manhattan shoppes.

I think a line of t-shirts w/his image in a set of mil-spec crosshairs, or in a circle with a line through it (euro-fag "NO" symbol) would sell pretty well also.

I never got the fascination with Che. He was pretty much a backwoods Stalinist.

In the 60's, college hippie dorks idolized him and I'm thinking "this Cuban commie guerilla would blast your head off with his pistol point blank if anyone of these lily white rich kids ever met him."

Leave it to liberals to flaunt their compassion while wearing t-shirts sporting mass murderers.

They're mentally ill.

Che missed his calling as an actor/entertainer. This goes double for John Kerry. But Che really had the good looks to have been a movie star (like a cross between George Clooney and Brad Pitt and possibly with the same amount of intelligence).

I recall several great documentaries solely made to debunk Mike Moore movies. We need a factual documentary to debunk the Che-hero-myth and expose him for what he really was--an incompetent warrior, playboy, thief, mass murderer, and so ineffective to Communism that Castro himself left him to rot.

I have a yellow shirt that has a blotchy Rorschach-type sketch of Adam Ant on it (from Adam and the Ants). When I showed up in it one Saturday morning last season, the Rennies gave me huge props for wearing a Che shirt, and told me they didn't know I was that cool.

I told them I wasn't cool enough to wear a murderer's shirt - I was only sufficiently cool for a pop star's.

They didn't like my shirt after that.

(I still contend that if they'd examined my actual shirt instead of what it was wrapping, they'd have seen it wasn't Che, especially considering it says "Adam Ant" underneath the head.)
