Neither Schiavo's parents nor her husband offered new, specific details on her condition, but one of the two priests who visited her hospital room Easter Sunday said the brain-damaged woman's "death is imminent."
O'Donnell said Schiavo smiled, raised her hands and made guttural sounds late Sunday while being visited by her father and a friend, who was talking about how she liked to go out dancing.
Schiavo's mother did not visit her daughter on Easter, emotions keeping her from the hospice for the first time since Terri's feeding tube was removed 10 days ago, O'Donnell said.
"If she goes in there again, we might have to take her to the hospital," O'Donnell said.
As her brother, sister and brother-in-law watched, the Rev. Thaddeus Malanowski held Terri's right hand as he and the hospice priest, the Rev. Joseph Braun, placed the droplet on her tongue. Malanowski also anointed her with holy oil, offered a blessing and absolved her of sin.

God bless Terri and her family.
Does anyone realizes the magnitude of this horrific decision: instead of allowing Terri to live out her life of many more years being loved by her family, they are putting her to death.
Worse fate, than a stray dog, which is allowed to live, if someone adopts it.
I guess that's just the brain stem, then? Geez.
Horrific, yes.
I guess the "reality" the parents are "dealing with" is what type of society we've become. This is a travesty of biblical proportions. I fear what God must think of such a society. Really.
Most do not. I just cannot believe what our society has come to. I live in what is considered a very conservative part of Washington State, yet on our local news when they interviewed people they all said; "Let her go."
I literally got sick to my stomach, when I heard one women say; "JUST LOOK AT HER LAYING THERE DOING NOTHING.
We have become a society who thinks if someone does not live up to our standards, just get rid of them.
Still praying for Terri.
Now we look like some third world bananna republic that kills it's citizens because people in black robes are now our rulers.
America used to at least be able to argue that she knew right from wrong. No more.
How can they LET a American woman starve and be murdered right in front of their eyes?
What are we paying them for? What a bunch of losers!
It's a wake-up call to the fact that changes need to be made NOW, and that even tho it looks like it may already be too late, it's not. We need to excercise our power and flex our political strength right now, while we are still holding most (a majority) of the legislative 'stroke'. We need to get the truth of this heinous travesty to the people...to mainstream America....to American voters. Most Americans don't have a clue about the truth of this case. They only know what the liberals wanted them to know. Activist judges playing God is something that we have the power to change. We just need to act instead of just talk about it.
We care more for animals than we do for 'inconvenient' people.
How about it President Bush: Will YOU err on the side of life? Or was that just so much empty rhetoric?
At the risk of going where we've already been a dozen times; doesn't Gov. Bush have the authority to stay an execution and commute a death sentence in the case of a capital crime prisoner so sentenced? I've seen it done in Missouri. The outgoing Gov. in Illinois did it en masse right before leaving office.
Why couldn't the same type of action be played out here? I suppose its because Ms. Schindler is not in the custody of the state, but instead, her gaurdian is A MONSTER who is insisting she die so she'll never talk about her/their past.
I saw a political cartoon the other day with Robert Blake Caddying for OJ Simpson. Taking it a step further, I suppose Michael Schaivo would be the greenskeeper.
God Bless Terri.
May God have mercy on Michael's soul.
I mean, I remember a woman named Elizabeth Morgan whose daughter said that the father was molesting her. And the child from his first marriage had made the same accusations. So Morgan handed the girl over to her parents and they left the country. Morgan was in jail for... I think it was 18 months... because she flatly refused to say where the girl was or to hand her over to her father for the two-weeks unsupervised visitation that the cort had ordered.
Everyone deals with things in their own way, I suppose. But I'd like to think that if anyone tried to starve my child to death, I'd shoot them. Not to be too blunt about it, but there you go.
Okay, flame away.
The nation was founded with the idea that the people will do what is right, what is just. With the removal of anything religious from the public discourse, that idea went out the window.
"I heard one women say; "JUST LOOK AT HER LAYING THERE DOING NOTHING." And they say Terri is brain dead?! This woman lacks humanity, which is an even greater disability than having a damaged brain. Where is judge Greer? He needs to order all food and water cut off, according to her own thoughts.
Yes, this nation circles the drain, heading for the midden heap of history.
I wonder if the Florida legislature and Gov. will be modifying the state law which allowed Terri to be starved to death. Have others in Florida been starved in a like manner?
I will tell you why. Because they trusted "the system". They could not believe that the government of the USA would ever actually let their daughter be killed when there was so much evidence that she wasn't PVS.
They were wrong... at least so far...
She is only 'inconvenient' to those that don't love her; namely MS.
She is a blessing to those that love her. Her parents, family and friends, and more importantly God, who breathe "life" into her.
And now that "life" is being killed by evil.
Good vs. evil
What a nasty spite filled title.
Typical MSM.
I am waiting for the posts by the learned opposition who have been championing on the Michael side lately. They will explain to us how all this is just some twitches of the hind brain. Some doctor will post saying he's starved dozens of patients like this - nothing to see here.
Hell no, you couldn't put a dog to death this way and not get thrown in prison.
