Both Tancredo and Buchanan are very popular with the white supremacists.
Sometimes being anti-immigration brings out the worst nutcases. If Tancredo doesn't disavow
these racists, he will be labeled the next David Duke by the MSM.
I'm not saying that Tancredo is racist. I'm stating he has quite the following among them.
This is particularly troubling given the efforts of some of these groups to infiltrate FreeRepublic.
Tancredo can make a cogent argument on immigration restrictions. However, this will be impossible if
Aryan brotherhood/neo-nazi groups become his strongest cheerleaders.
Friend of Morris Dees are you.
And Bush and Gonzales are very popular, to the point of Gonzales speaking glowingly about them, with La Raza. Tancredo is popular with a lot of groups, but I don't see him showing up at a KKK function, unlike Mr. La Raza himself, Gonzales who not only shows up at La Raza(The Race) functions, he puts them on a pedestal.
Having followed Tom's career I've never seen evidence of racism. Although I'm current in Texas my legal residency is Colorado.
Hillary Clinton and the Democrats are very popular among hard-core criminals but that didn't stop her from advocating looser voting restrictions for ex-felons.
Gee, what a surprise...
Some white supremacists probably voted for Prez Bush too.
What's your point?
When Ronald Reagan learned that out-of-mainstream right wingers were backing him he stated something along the lines of "I'm glad they've seen the light and joined us."
Maybe somebody can find the quotation or source.
Not surprising.
good observation......supremacists a liability to him as gay/lesbian issues will be to Hillary...except she will also be anti-immigration.
Aryan brotherhood/neo-nazi groups become his strongest cheerleaders."
IOW, you hearby surrender to preemptive slanderous attack by RINOs, RATS, and the MSM upon ALL whom "make a cogent argument on immigration restrictions"?
IF "Aryan brotherhood/neo-nazi groups" are "pro-life," does their advocacy invalidate THAT position?
Just because they like him doesn't make him a white supremacist. If that's the bullet the communists are going to try to use to knock him off, he needs to be thinking about how he's going to deal with it now. At this point, unless confronted with some proof, I'd be hard pressed to believe he is a racist.
Nice link. I thought linking to garbage sites was prohibitted on FR. Everyone knows Buchanan consorts with Jews and Negros. His VP was a black woman, his campaign staff had more blacks and jews on it than either Bush's or Gore's in 2000. I hate to point out the obvious, but white supremicists are complete and total dumbasses.
Of course many supporters of George Bush are dumbasses as well. I'd list their screen names, but I'd rather just point out I judged Bush by his actions and not the major dumbasses who parade around as his supporters on FR. Otherwise he wouldn't have gotten my vote. I'm not asking for Bush to address his dumbass problem though.
When our new Attorney General is showing up at La Raza meetings, I believe there is little room for the mainstream press to villify Tancredo just because some small number of kooks happen to agree with one aspect of his platform.
After all, the Stormfront types were overwhelmingly in favor of Bush in the last election, while the Black Panther Party was in favor of Kerry. Who cares what these kooks think?
Illegal immigration and its associated issues are a mainstream, middle-America issue that transcends skin color. Period.
