100-year-old Church of the Redeemer closes (Gay Bishop Closes Down Church)

ROCHESTER — Less than a year ago, Episcopal Bishop V. Gene Robinson was the wedge that split the Church of the Redeemer. Yesterday, he presided over its final service, accepting gifts and praising parishioners for their faith and service to the church.

Though it had been open for 100 years, the church had been hampered for years by financial difficulties. The difficulties worsened when the majority of parishioners decided to leave the church rather than accept the leadership of Robinson, who is openly gay.

How fitting.

And homosexuality destroys yet another community. I hope they're happy now.

I guess I don't understand why people didn't choose someone they wanted for their own leader.

My heart bleeds for the folks like Mrs. Gray....their so-called shepherds abandon the faith once delivered to the saints, leaving her to hold the bag. Then they return to take the bag from her....assets and all. It's ugly....and satanic.

Interesting.

Just yesterday the paper reported that Robinson claimed that Jesus could have been gay.

And today the 100 year old church closed it's doors.

What a coincidence!

But the PROPERTY remains that of the Episcopal Church, and all profits from its sale will go to them, along with any artwork, bank accounts, and such.

He is probably glad to see them go. More money to push liberal causes with.

Not only is he a homosexual and an apostate, he is one of a den of thieves.

Episcopal bishops are not elected in a democratic fashion.

I had to walk away from four or five generations of my family's history when I left the ECUSA in the early 80's. Trust me, they will burn it to the ground before they would let a traditionalist congregation get it.

A church is not a building. A church is an assembly of people. It sounds like this church began closing the day Pastor Sodomite was "annointed" by those who should have known better.
