This doesn't say in "bed", but it implies it.....my question is Why? Does she have only one bed in her house? Otherwise....?

We are assuming that "woke up" refers to awakening in ones bed from a peaceful night of sleep. It could mean coming around on the couch or floor after a night of drugging and boozing.
