Like most GOP politicians and contrary to their campaign rhetoric, Arnold is not reformer. He's a caretaker of a liberal government.

The Spirit Of The Year Of Reform has evaporated. Sacramento remains broken.

>>"We believed the governor when he told us that the timeline was non-negotiable," Mundell <<
First mistake "We believed the governor"
Second mistake "the timeline was non-negotiable,"
In a politicians life everything is negotiable.
Compromising isn't a sign of 'no balls', it mean you want to be re-elected.
Tolerance means you don't care by who.
Compassion is just a way of getting donations from those you least expected to.
Leadership means I'll follow the dollar right off the cliff and take you with me if I have to!
They have an entirely different dictionary. The word principle sounds the same as principal, so they use it whenever it's appropriate to get some dollars from the wallets of those with dreams for a better America
Voter is interchangeable with Supporter and Sucker
Mundell just found out about being a 'One Night Stand'. Lets see if he's stupid enough to believe Arnies next shpiel. I wonder if he's going to hear, "Well, that'll take more money. Do you have any?"

If Arnold calls a special election for ANY of the ballot measures, that opens the door to them all. That means if he doesn't cave on his agenda entirely, he doesn't have any say in whether the redistricting initiative appears on the ballot in November. There are going to be some interesting ones coming up, including mandatory parental notification of an abortion for a minor, and the "paycheck protection" initiative, which would require express permission from a union member before a union could deduct dues for political purposes.

Arnie has completely botched his reform package by showing ineptitude, lack of carefully thought-out planning and piss-poor salesmanship. His first major screw-up was with pension reform, which would have been overwhelmingly passed by the voters.
