Sadly, the people who survived the hardships of ship internment and became slaves in the Americas, gave birth to progeny that lived longer and better than their African cousins. The peers of the American slave population, back in Africa, were either slaughtered when unable to be sold or ended up as African/Arab slaves; an existence that was nasty, brutish and short.

The children of those left back in Africa, if they survived at all, have begotten a generation of oppressed, poverty stricken and malnourished third world victims of tribal warfare. One could make a more sound argument that the progeny of American slaves owe a big acclamation of thanks to the forces that brought their ancestors to these shores. In short, they "owe" someone for their good fortune.

No, no, no. . .according to the US State Department's Foreign Service Institute, African slaves of Arabs were trained as academics and doctors and led a comfortable existence.

I'm not kidding.

They really said this.

When I attended the FSI's sub-Saharan Africa intensive area studies program that is exactly what they taught. . .that and all Black men in Africa sit around and drink palm-oil wine and are worthless and the Black women are really the one's in charge.
