This strip club case is a drop in the bucket compared to the real corruption going on in City Hall - the pension scandal, lying to Wall Street, use of set-aside funds for other spending, payoffs to the ACLU and on and on. This Cheetahs thing distracts from the real crimes. The pols deliberately over-promised and underfunded the city pension to the tune of billions of dollars, including granting benefits to union leaders illegally and the Feds are spending thousands of manhours on a strip club case...?

Well .. God Bless and enjoy your new adventure.

I started a new adventure yesterday. I'm starting an on-line Bible school.

It wasn't MY problem. It is San Diego's problem. My life is in pretty good order. My idiot next door neighbor convinced the land use commission to re-zone the area over my back fence to "mixed use - commercial". I'm not letting that happen. I'll be on the backs of the city council and land use commission until that is reversed. The neighbors have already put together a pile of petitions and an adequate supply of torches and pitchforks.

BTW, the Pocatello city council is nearly as corrupt as the San Diego council. They use the police and fire department to harass and intimidate people who oppose them. A local movie theater burned down and an enormous pile of money disappeared in a tangled web of misbehavior that is still being investigated. There's plenty of problems to tackle here.

That's part of my plan when I move. I want to connect religiously somewhere. I'm not sure where I'll end up, but I know the journey will be interesting! Let me know how you're doing, ok?

I don't envy you living in the heart of America's most corrupt city. Who do you think will be the next mayor?

Just two ideas for you, 1 Don't buy a house until you have lived there a year. 2 Be prepared to go grocery shopping at 2:00AM when it is still 117 degrees out. Don't be fooled by the averages shown in your reply. My Doctor asked me if I had ever spent a summer in Bull Head, I said no, and he said do you have some place cool to go for the summer

I go grocery shopping at 2 AM anyway. It's less crowded that way. When my wife gets the 3 PM to 11 PM shift, it is often the only time when both of us are free of work obligations at the same time.

The only real surprise in the Idaho weather was the very high winds in the Spring. A steady 45 knots with gusts to 70 caused my rain gutters to pull off the edge of the roof. A local contractor replaced the damaged sections and affixed the gutters with barn bolts (a very long screw) instead of the convention nails that look like tent spikes.

The highest temp on record in Bullhead City appeared to be around 123. I can believe the 117 figure. Especially in areas with asphalt parking lots.

I lived across the river in Laughlin, NV for 3 years... year round. The summers are hot, but so what? Everything is air conditioned, and hot desert nights are GOOD for a lot of activities.

Nothing like standing in the parking lot of the Ramada and looking up at their thermometer and seeing 126 degrees! I swear, that day, the earth stood still. I've never experienced such total silence. Thickest air I've ever felt.

Let's talk this evening for sure. You call me anytime after 5:PM. Right now I am headed to the hairdressers.

Lobster and the cemetary OK? I have to combine "thangs" --- I am quickly running out of time.

I feel like I'm on a runaway train that I can't stop and I can't get off of either.
