don't have to deal with the consequences of corrupt politicians.

I don't believe people should run away from their problems.
There are plenty of political and corrupt situations
in many other areas of the country. It is up to us to
correct it not run to another area where next week or next
year the same thing can happen.

It wasn't MY problem. It is San Diego's problem. My life is in pretty good order. My idiot next door neighbor convinced the land use commission to re-zone the area over my back fence to "mixed use - commercial". I'm not letting that happen. I'll be on the backs of the city council and land use commission until that is reversed. The neighbors have already put together a pile of petitions and an adequate supply of torches and pitchforks.

BTW, the Pocatello city council is nearly as corrupt as the San Diego council. They use the police and fire department to harass and intimidate people who oppose them. A local movie theater burned down and an enormous pile of money disappeared in a tangled web of misbehavior that is still being investigated. There's plenty of problems to tackle here.

I don't envy you living in the heart of America's most corrupt city. Who do you think will be the next mayor?
