LONDON DAILY TELEGRAPH
BERLIN -- American soldiers returning to their German base from Iraq are undergoing their own small "baby boom," becoming parents in such numbers as to strain the resources of the base military hospital. The 1st Armored Division usually produces one or two babies a month at Baumholder in central Germany. But the rate of births is expected to shoot up to 40 a month in the next five months. In all, 400 couples at the base are expecting a child, 350 of whom will be born before the end of the year.

A pregnant friend and her hubby are stationed in Germany. There are so many babies in the making that she is having to see a Gemran doc instead of a doc on base. She was pretty happy about it. The German health care system takes lots more ultrasounds and sees their patients more often that the Americans.
ROFL!! Sounds like your mom knew how to welcome her man home! Good on mom!
That is true!
I only had an ultrasound done ,when I was pregnant with my daughter, because they thought there might be something wrong with her!
In Germany it is routine to get an ultrasound every month or so!
I would have to check the ultrasound pictures I have from my son to see how often I had one done!
WOW!! Every MONTH?? That's cool!
