I think this article helps explain the blind pathology of the liberal Jews. My mother was a liberal Jew, who lost some relatives to pogroms in the Ukraine, lost more still to the Nazis. She raised all three of her children as liberals; we all attended the Unitarian Church.
She was never able to understand why I became a conservative; and up until she died 2 years ago I could not even make her see that those "poor Palestinans" harbor a deep and abiding hatred for her and would gladly slit her threat if given the chance.
The good news is that I gave her her only grandchild, and that child is a good little conservative and staunch Republican. There is hope.

Agreed - there is hope.
It's depressing to see the way the Jewish establishment (by and large) has treated Bush, considering he was, by far, the best friend that Israel EVER had.
Whereas Clinton practically demanded that Israel accept near-daily bus bombs, and was loved by most Jews.
Go figure. But nice job on the kid (and yourself, too).
