As most of you may know, I recently posted a news story that indicates the findings of a poll of republican and democratic insiders including elected officials and pollsters which points out that the insiders believe George Allen and Hillary Clinton will win the nominations. The Marist College poll, however, polled everyday folks like you and I and their data indicates that the everday folk like you and I would choose Guiliani and Hillary as opposed to Allen and Hillary. I wonder who has the better track record, the insiders or the everday folk.

If the Republican's are so stupid to nominate Crazy McLame or Ruddy I'll sit 2008 out.

If it's McCain, I vote third party at the top - even against Hillary.

If McCain is nominated I'll vote Constitution Party.

If George Allen is nominated I'll likely vote for him.

It's all about name recognition right now. I remember polls in 2002 showing Lieberman as the frontrunner for the Dem nomination.

I personally think the best ticket would be Allen/Rice. But, it's still a long time until 2008.

Allen just may lure me back to the GOP. Guiliani will turn me off. I might even vote Hillary just in anger and rage. Whatever I will have to be very drunk and even then Rudy will not get my vote.

It's far too early in the 2008 election season to make these speculations. In the spring of 2001, how many thought that John Kerry would come frighteningly close to the Presidency? I don't have the poll numbers, but I doubt hardly any at all.

Would you like Hillary Rodham Clinton to run for president in 2008, or not?"

Would - 43%

Would Not - 50%

Not Sure - 7%

If it's McLame versus Hillary, I predict a LARGE third party turnout... Pi** poor choice, those two.

Yes

That being said Mcpain would be a bad thing . Although he might run with Billary. It's just too early. But Condi would be interesting .

"If it's McCain, I vote third party at the top - even against Hillary."

While I totally understand the anger? frustration? of comments like that, even if it's a lame-o Republican, there's NO WAY I will vote for The Beast, nor will I throw a vote HER WAY by voting third party. Third parties aren't strong enough at "the top" yet.

This is exactly how we got our current loser of a Democr@p Governor for Wisconsin. This is exactly how we "Ross Perot-ed" our way to Clinton in the White House; I couldn't live with myself if I did that to my entire Nation!

Nuh-Uh. Ain't gonna do it. I'll hold my nose and vote Republican, even if it's McCain or Guilliani, neither of which impress me. :(

I wonder? The GOP seems determined to be too clever by half. I have been wondering what the effect of a 15-20% electorate voting for a third party. The largest I can remember since the Bull Moose Party was Anderson's run against Reagan and ??? (I can't remember was it Carter or Mondale) Who remembers Anderson these days other than us political news junkies? Anderson got 10% and Psycho Parrot got slightly less so 10% is not enough to affect the landscape much. But 20% may be an earthquake in one or more of the parties. It just may be the wake up call needed. I have been saying if the GOP dumps Delay like they have done to so many others (just so they can move up the pecking order) I hope he takes the GOP on in 2008. We may have 4-8 years of Hildibeast but the GOP will have learned a lesson or it will fold once and for all.

Im still not sold on "frighteningly close". An honest and fair recount would provide evidence of fraud that would rival that of a Third World country or a Banana Republic..

The only problem with Condi is I've never heard her express her personal views on any subject. What would she do on tax reform, tort reform, the borders? I dunna know, do you?

Other than that , she's a babe! :-)

While I'll always feel JC Watts would have made a great president and could have probably brought a sizable block of black votes(I've never understood why there aren't more) he has just enough dirty laundry to keep that from happening.
I had hoped the quisling McCain would have run with kerry. At least then his name and GOP would never be included in the same sentence! I've often wondered if a Russian interrogator turned him in Hanoi or if it was just stress........
Rudi is about as far to the right as can ever be expected from NY, but as president I'd imagine his list of judicial appointments would be identical to hillary's. No thanks!!!
