Ms. Clinton wanted to sue gun makers out of existence because they "should have known" that guns don't magically stop working when a criminal uses them. Clinton favored laws that would charge a gun owner with a crime if someone breaks into his house and steals a gun. The owner of the gun and not the criminal who stole it would be held responsible for any crimes committed with the stolen gun because the gun owner "should have known" that in the future a someone would steal the gun.
Typical leftist. Clinton wants the little people to be punished for not having perfect knowledge of future events not under their control. But when a leftist is caught breaking the law, the defense is that "I didn't know what was happening" or "those laws are only for the little people and not important leaders like me."
