It was breaking news on FoxNews channel, and they just put the story on the web.
"About 1,000 U.S. Marines, sailors and soldiers encircled this Euphrates River (search) city in the troubled Anbar province Wednesday, killing at least three insurgents after launching the second major operation in this vast western region in less than a month, an official said.
The offensives are aimed at uprooting insurgents who have killed more than 620 people since a new Iraqi government was announced on April 28."

Maybe going after someone who's reportedly "wounded"?

I'm thinking this is just a continuation of Operation Squeezeplay.

That's a pretty big operation. Sounds like they have found some rich paydirt. Good luck troops...

I think you're right here. We barely missed Zarqawi a month ago when he bailed out of that vehicle and we got his laptop.
Now if the reports of him being injured are true, then i can see why we're trying to grab him while we can.

Hopefully it will stay that way. Mr. Isikoff, any thoughts on the matter?

I have two adopted soldiers in Iraq and both have indicated they have been very, very busy. God speed to our troops!

With so many operations going on all over Iraq, I think we've been spreading ourselves too thin for the insurgents. When this happens, casualties will abound.
We need more soldiers down there. Why aren't we sending more soldiers?
