You can bet the farm that if the Democrats went for it the end result will be good for Democrats and bad for Conservatives. I deliberately did not use the word "Republicans" because with the exception of 10 Republicans in both Houses of Congress, the "Republicans are more than happy to be both the whipping boys and butt boys of the Democrats.

I optimistically hope the number is higher than that. In terms of Senators, do you include Chambliss and Allen? Toomey was a good Rep, but he left to head a foundation after his loss to Specter. I think he should have stayed in the House, myself. Any good ones you'd care to mention? I could use some bolstering, about now.
