At first, Stacey Akerson did not know what they were - those oblong, shrouded objects that she first began spotting a couple of years ago, affixed to the tops of cars on the streets of Brooklyn. "You always wondered, what's that up there, covered up?" she said.

Here's the photos from the story. This "Tyler Hicks" photographer probably could have done a better job shooting the vaguely hot chick in the first photo, but what do you expect from a NYT photog?

This "Tyler Hicks" photographer probably could have done a better job shooting the vaguely hot chick in the first photo, but what do you expect from a NYT photog?Yeah, but you can tell by the focus of the shot that Tyler thinks the guy is thimply dreammmmmy.
BTW: You think that chick is hot? Judging by the wetsuit, I'd venture that she's actually quite cold.
