"Maybe not but many are frustrated to the point where they may simply sit on their hands and certainly not burn any more money and time to elect pale imitations of democrats."

Well, you needn't list the reasons for your frustrations. I share the national ones. In PA, we have a Republican legislature, but no Conservative has taken PA Republicans seriously for years here.

Nonetheless, I have not given up on the national Republican Party and implore you not to. I go back to the week after 9-11. I felt like someone had punched me in the gut. I felt like being an American was going to mean living in fear, and a kind of shame at our weakness.

Then came Afghanistan and the quick fall of the Taliban. Bush gave us that, from a leadership perspective. Then we conquered Iraq, one of probably the 10-15 best armies in the world, in 6 weeks with maybe 120,000 men. Deposed a amn who was a Hitler-in-training. Bush's leadership showed us, and the next dictator considering an attack on the US, what our military could do. And his man Rumsfeld made it happen, on the civilain end.

So yes, I believe Republicans do make a difference.

But I am not ignoring your point.

There is a terrible problem in the Party. In my opnion, the Hard Left, having taken over the Democratic party, the MSM, and the educational system K-PhD, and the State Department, has made some incursions into the Republican Party, particularly the Senate.

There's some bad people on the Hard Left, obviously, and I believe they are most likely blackmailing people using the 293 boxes of FBI files Hillary got illegally during the Clinton administration (they have the files, confirmed by the FBI guys who sent them).

I think we need to get some good new candidates and challenge DeWine and Chafee, two traitor-Senators who are up for election in 2006, in their primaries. I'm calling for a national Conservative effort on this. And we have to vet these candidates good, because the full resources of the MSM will be spent looking for every speck of dirt on them.

As far as the 72-hour Texans, the reason I asked is that a group of them came here to Pittsburgh and took a couple of pictures with me included here in our Bush Victory Center in an area of the city known as Shadyside (on Shady Avenue). This was my first campaign, and I sure would like to have a copy of one or both pix(e-mailed or mailed.) If that was possible. I get no help on this end, if you know what I mean.

I share your opinion on the WOT, perhaps I'm just going through one of my periodic rages. I'm certainly going to be more careful about the specific people I support, no more support for the national party if money is going to the likes of McCain, Chafee, etc.

Mrs. Texan was in Ohio but if they were from Travis county or Austin freepmail me and I'll be glad to put you in touch with somebody that might be able to help.
