After reading this article I'm left with the distinct impression that a great number of Americans have far too much time on their hands, especially when they expect fantasy to become reality. These people should not be allowed to sit on any jury, period.

Good point. The "CSI Effect" should be screened for in voir dire and used to challenge jurors for cause. If a juror isn't going to believe three eyewitnesses to an overt act without lead-pipe-cinch physical evidence to back up the eyewitnesses, he should be excluded.
