BTW, 2006 will see the Republicans increase their majority in the House and Senate because the Rats have no plans.

I have been here for a while so allow me to say this.

What notable achievements have Republicans done this year beside the bankrupty bill?

What happened to Social Security reform? What happened to using the nuclear option?

The core conservative base is disappointed with the Republicans at this point, especially with the "Seven traitors" who made the deal.

True, but what vision or strategery do the Dems have?

"Whatever it is, I'm against it!"

"NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!" is not exactly an inspiring political platform.

Yea I'm disappointed too with the Rats and Rinos obstructing the process but much progress has been made and much more will come. McCain and company will have to explain to their constituents the egg on their face but if they are smart and want to mitigate the damage they will come to their senses. I think after Bolton at least a couple conservative strays will think twice about challenging their leaders. The nuke option will probably resurface within a couple weeks. I was one of the most pissed off people with the "compromise" but after Bolton all I can do is laugh and hope some of the strays wise up to not trust a Rat again.

The truth is that there is little to distinguish professional politicians of either party from one another.

Still, at this point, it is completely unacceptable to allow those in the Democrat party any quarter. Voting for a Dem is tantamount to suicide.

Voting for a Rep (in many cases) is more like cutting the puppy's tail off a little at a time so that it doesn't hurt as much. Difference is, it does buy time. I genuinely believe that people are wising up, and the dems are doomed, and the Reps will thus eventually recognize the true mood of the voters.

On the other hand, I have been wrong before when it comes to judging people. Likely I shall be so again.
