Nevertheless, many if not most Americans, in their complacency and ignorance of history, believe we have no reason to worry; that America will always exist regardless of history and the threats currently facing our nation … how very, very wrong they are.

Thanks for the re-ping, D. It appears that Mr. Newman is on the same page as you and I.

If we ever reach the point:

when the patient have had enough of the instant gratification crowd ….

when the industrious have had enough of the 'I deserve' entitlement parasites ...

when the humble and faithful have had enough of the hedonists …

when those who value individual study and analysis have had enough of those who passively accept spoon-fed ‘knowledge’ …

when those who practice personal responsibility have had enough of the victimhood mentality …

when those who comprehend the value of the nuclear family have had enough of feminist and statist infiltration …

when those who respect innocent life have had enough of those who defend selective murder …

when the courageous and honest had have enough of the whiners and schemers …

when those who revere our proud common ancestry have had enough of those who seek to ridicule and destroy our allegiance to our roots ….

when those who believe that individual liberty is a gift of God have had enough of our arrogant elitist oppressors ...

... wake me up. I want to be a part of the revolution.

Hi RSS, Here's a ping for you, item #93, contributed by Quix, with whom you've had a recent discussion on a different thread.

Quoting you from other thread:

'I'm not in the habit of threatening people. I find intimidation to be a coward's weapon. I do however warn people of what may happen to them if they continue with a certain course of action.

'I have always feared God. I have always worried about, and still do, for those that don't.

'If you don't believe that these are extraordinary times that we are living in, so be it. The geometries of consciousness all around the planet are lining up to their correct formation very quickly now. This process will accelerate exponentially over the coming days and weeks.
Let's just say I have a Cosmic Hotline...

'P.S. I didn't choose to have it connected either.'
END QUOTE

Thank you C.I. dot com, I agree!

Here's a Bible verse to think about:

"The people of Nineveh will rise up against this generation
on judgment day and condemn it, because they repented at the
preaching of Jonah. And now someone greater than Jonah is
here -- and you refuse to repent. The queen of Sheba will
also rise up against this generation on judgment day and
condemn it, because she came from a distant land to hear the
wisdom of Solomon. And now someone greater than Solomon is
here -- and you refuse to listen to him."

-- Matthew 12:41-42

VERSE:
How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those
who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who
take refuge in you.

-- Psalm 31:19
http://www.SearchGodsWord.org/desk/?query=Psalm+31:19

THOUGHT:
Out of this psalm which begins in desperation, we find a
crescendo of faith. While things may seem bleak, God will not
abandon his children. Those who reverence God will not be
forgotten. Far from ignoring his children, God has stored up his
goodness which he will generously pour out on them to show that
they are his. Those who take refuge in him will be protected and
blessed. For those on this side of Jesus' resurrection, this
promise of blessing and vindication takes on added depth and
meaning as well as deeper assurance!

PRAYER:
O LORD, God of Abraham, Moses, Ruth, David, and Esther, I praise
you for your proven faithfulness through the centuries. I thank you
for the great heritage of faith that shows me that I can trust you
to remember me with your grace, protect me by your power, and bless
me with your goodness. Please give me courage to hang on to my
faith no matter the trials and temptations I face. In Jesus' name I
pray and place my trust in you. Amen.

Being a Christian is not synonymous with voting for Bush/Republicans.

Having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is indescribably more important than petty human politics.

LISTEN!

Later that same day, Jesus left the house and went down to the shore, where an immense crowd soon gathered. He got into a boat, where he sat and taught as the people listened on the shore. He told many stories such as this one: "A farmer went out to plant some seed. As he scattered it across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them. Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock.

The plants sprang up quickly, but they soon wilted beneath the hot sun and died because the roots had no nourishment in the shallow soil. Other seeds fell among thorns that shot up and choked out the tender blades. But some seeds fell on fertile soil and produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted. Anyone who is willing to hear should listen and understand!"

-- Matthew 13:1-9

KEY THOUGHT:
It is easy to be a part of the crowd. It is very hard to communicate effectively and lead a crowd. These two issues challenge Jesus repeatedly through his ministry. But Jesus is not so much interested in attracting a crowd as he is building a Kingdom. He is not interested in having an audience; he is building an army. So throughout his ministry, he will say difficult things, challenging things, confrontational things, to weed out the crowd and call together his Kingdom. All the while, he reminds those who would follow him, who would be his disciples, who would help him build his Kingdom family, that the responsibility is to not only hear, but to listen -- to absorb the message into the their hearts and display it in their lives.

Today it is so easy for most of us to call ourselves Christians. In spite of hostility and ridicule in some quarters of society and in the world, many call themselves Christian without knowing Christ, obeying his word, or living with his character. So as we journey through his parables, you and I must hear the powerful call of Jesus:" You people who hear me, listen!" He doesn't want us in his crowd; he wants to make us to live vibrantly for his Kingdom.

TODAY'S PRAYER:
O great God of the nations, open my ears that I may fully hear your message to me through Jesus. Father, I don't want to just be in the crowd; I want to be a part of your Kingdom. Forgive me for the times I've piddled at faithfulness. I want to be obedient to Jesus' call so I may reflect your character and grace. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
