New figures reveal that Dean has done a woeful job of raising money for the party since he became party chief. After essentially matching the Republicans in fund-raising in 2004, the Democratic National Committee raised $14.1 million in the first quarter of 2005, while the Republicans raised $32.3 million, according to the Federal Election Commission. Dean attracted about 20,000 new donors, but the Republican National Committee picked up 68,200.

Mikey's not as unhinged and vocal enough in front of an audience. The next best thing to Dr. Deanmento's "YEEEEAAAGGGHHH!!!!" is AlGore's boilerplate speech material of "He beTRAYED this country!"

Some people are calling Howard Dean a deep cover Karl Rove trained operative for the Republican party.

And the reason DNC contributions are down - Dean states their "values" accurately...

Dean attracted about 20,000 new donors, but the Republican National Committee picked up 68,200. The RNC can't count me among those numbers.
I have emailed Ken Mehlman several times that the RNC won't get "another damned dime" from me until:
- All judicial nominees that make it out of committee get a non-filibustered up or down vote.
- Our southern border is significantly strengthened to stem the avalanche of Criminal Aliens that are slowly killing our country.
I honestly don't think this is asking too much considering that the Republicans
OWN the White House, the House of Representatives and the Senate.

I just don't believe his days are numbered. He will fight to hold on the chairmanship with the tenacity of a cornered weasel protecting her young. (Check out the DU, if you can stand it, for their love for Howie and hatred for "establishment Democrats".)
As they say, "Sit back and enjoy the show!"

I sure do hope that the story isn't true. Please oh please let him stay on through the next election cycle! I know that some people say that Howard Dean's nuts as a flippant remark, but I truly think he is. If he practiced medicine with the same skills as he speaks in public, he must have had malpractice suits up the wazoo!
To: wagglebee
Too bad, we could use him at the helm in '08.
On the other hand, maybe he'll get pissed if he's fired, and run again.

Seeing that Sacred Cow Burgers logo on the pic reminded me of the maker, FReeper "Prime Choice"....
I know there'd been health problems and it looks like he hasn't participated here since mid February.
Anyone got our buddy's status? I'm pinging him here.

That pic is a fake! I'm pinging the moderator! No way that's Michael Moore. The body of the guy in the pic doesn't even come close to 450 pounds.

I think dean is a throwaway. If the DNC really mattered Dean would not be there.
The 527's are where the real money (which the clintons can access) is going.
To: wagglebee
Dean has become a key member of the Gang of Four the leading Democrats who want to stop Hillary's 2008 presidential bid. The three other members of the Gang are Al Gore, John Kerry and Ted Kennedy. A screaming socialist loon, a weed smoking ozone lover, a gigolo traitor, and a drunk driving swimming murderer.
Priceless! No wonder they can't raise any money.

" Dean attracted about 20,000 new donors, but the Republican National Committee picked up 68,200. " ..... it may or may not be the Democrats ability to raise money, but, rather, more and more people are rejecting the Democrat/Liberals ideology and ideas.
This is something that the MSM/Liberals/Democrats are delusional about and simply refuse to accept at their own peril and to our benefit.

Republicans are making the same mistake with Dean as DNC Chair they did with Dean as a Presidential candidate.
We all knew he would be the perfect candidate to beat in 2004, but most Republicans couldn't keep their mouths shut and the Dem voters left him because they realized he would lose badly if they nominated him. Our side guaranteed we'd have the much harder to defeat Kerry as candidate in November.
Now he's in at DNC and we're doing it all over. If everyone would just shut up we'd have a shot at keeping him in there, and letting him destroy their party from within. But, instead, we are going to keep warning the Dems they are making a huge mistake, and we'll end up with a Clinton crony back in the position. One that can raise lots of money.

I predict by the end of the year he'll be "pursuing other interests" (psychotherapy), "working on some projects he's interested in" (regainig his sanity) and "spending more time with his family" (Bob Beckel's hookers).
