Haven't watched CNN in about three years, but was really impressed with Hemmer. Wish him well.

I think I speak for many of us when I say: "Who?"

This is a guy I have never heard of who was on shows I've never heard of on a network I haven't watched in over a decade.

In a move to please CNN's foreign audience, Miles has agreed to change his name to the less American, Kilometers.

I hear Fox News is hiring.

(Mrs. F & I saw Hemmer emerging from a Manhattan dry cleaners while we were on vacation there a few years back. "Brush with greatness.")

Bill Hemmer plans to leave the network to pursue other opportunities...

Hemmer: "I am?"

From Gawker:

TVNewser has the scoop on CNN’s American Morning co-host, the one and only Bill Hemmer. Hemmer, it seems, is having problems getting his New York job moved to D.C. (There are still summer internships available, no?) Reports the Newser:

Hemmer “has no idea how to do anything himself,” a network source tells the blog. “When he does interviews, producers do everything, from writing his scripts to doing most of his interviews and footage is cut to make it look like he’s working.”

In other words, he has absolutely nothing to distinguish himself from every other “on-air talent.” –KEW more

“After 10 years of distinguished service at CNN, Bill Hemmer has decided to pursue other opportunities, and we wish him well, been canned" Klein said.

"Hemmer, who joined CNN in 1995 and American Morning in 2002, will be leaving the network."

How can this be? Have you seen him? He's looks about 17 years old.

I do like Jack Cafferty, he's more like an old curmudgeon. He lays it out how he sees it, which means he's not suited for morning news. He may shine in the afternoon.

:: SNOOOOORE ::

Wait...what? What's that? CNN is losing more talent? Oh...well that's just the most shocking statement I've ever heard.

Back to sleep...

This guy was pretty well composed and had a wry and dry sense of humor. I bet we see him on fox or one of the major local market stations in LA, NY or DC.

I like Bill Hemmer. He's a local kid here in Cincy. Went to Elder High School.

I wish him well. He's from a solid West Side Catholic conservative family.

Bill Hemmer was professional and had all the tools of TV journalism. Like my wife and I, he couldn't "take" Soledad, whi IS a tool. Jack Cafferty couldn't take her either. CNN Execs have made a bad choice on who to keep.
